I'm Bikram Nath. I founded and edit AUPicks, an independent buying-guide site for Australian shoppers. Every guide is compiled and reviewed by one person — me — from published manufacturer specifications, expert reviews and Amazon.com.au buyer feedback. I'm based in Pune, India, and I research the Australian market remotely; I do not do hands-on testing, and no guide on this site claims otherwise.

What I do instead is verify. Every product in the published guides links to a specific, checked Amazon.com.au product page. If I cannot verify that a product has a live, matching Amazon.com.au listing, it is removed from the guide — I never substitute a search-results link or guess at a listing. In August 2026 that standard cost 236 of 267 guides; the 31 that remain are the ones that met it.

What I focus on

• Availability on Amazon.com.au — confirmed product listings, not imports or grey-market stock.
• Suitability for Australian conditions as described in published specifications — climate, UV exposure, 230 V mains.
• Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees, which apply regardless of a manufacturer's stated warranty.
• Our methodology — exactly how guides are researched and what the limits of that research are.

I also run PakkaPick, an equivalent independent buying-guide site for Indian shoppers, built on the same research-and-verify approach.
